We all know the importance of a daily physical shower, but what about an energetic cleanse? Just like our bodies, our energy fields can pick up negativity from daily interactions, leaving us feeling drained and depleted. 1. Shielding: Visualization is a powerful tool! Before entering a potentially draining situation, imagine yourself surrounded by a white light. This light acts as a shield, deflecting negativity and protecting your own energy field. (This is my favourite! It sounds simply but it works)
2. Grounding: Feeling scattered or overwhelmed? Grounding techniques can bring you back to centre. Simply stand barefoot on grass or dirt, or visualize your energy rooting down into the earth like a mighty tree. This connection to the earth's natural energy helps you feel more stable and secure.
3. The Power of Breath: Did you know your breath is a powerful energetic tool? When you feel drained, take a few deep, cleansing breaths. Inhale positive, white light, and exhale any negativity you may have picked up. Simple breathing exercises can do wonders for restoring your energy balance.
4. Setting Boundaries (Energetic & Physical): Boundaries aren't selfish – they're essential for protecting your energy. Learn to politely decline requests that leave you feeling depleted. It's okay to say "no" to protect your space and well-being. This includes setting energetic boundaries with people who consistently drain your energy. If someone leaves you feeling emotionally exhausted after an interaction, limit your contact or politely excuse yourself from the conversation.
5. The Smudging (or Cleansing) Ritual: Burning sage or other cleansing herbs (like lavender or palo santo) is a popular way to clear negativity from your space. However, if smoke isn't your preference, there are alternatives! Walk through your space with the intention of clearing stagnant energy.
